Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that the country’s economy progresses due to the strengthening of the rural economy. Chief Minister Yogi was addressing the Rural Development Exhibition organized by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Smriti Mahotsav Samiti in Mathura through video conference from his official residence in Lucknow.
Adityanath said, “Deendayal Upadhyay ji had said that the level of economy of any country is judged by the economic condition of the lowest rung person.” Emphasis has been laid on the use of technology.
The Chief Minister said that programs like Soil Health Card, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana etc. are being run in the country to bring happiness in the lives of farmers. He said that his government has given concessions in the electricity bills of tube wells used by the farmers.
The Chief Minister said, “The state government has collaborated with PepsiCo to set up a food processing center at Kosi Kalan, Mathura. Lakhs of quintals of potatoes are being used in this food processing center, due to which farmers are getting good price for their potatoes.
