New Delhi :
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will hold a meeting here on Thursday to review the situation of Kovid and deal with this infection and evaluate the resources deployed in hospitals. The officers provided this information. In its last meeting in April, the authority had made it mandatory for people to wear masks in public places and fixed a fine of Rs 500 for violation. A senior official said on Wednesday, “The DDMA meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 4 pm to review the Kovid situation in Delhi.”
He said, “It will also be evaluated in this meeting whether the personnel and other facilities deployed in hospitals to deal with this infection should be reduced or they should be retained at this level.” Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be present.
The official said that at present, Delhi is witnessing a low Covid infection rate and very few Covid patients admitted in hospitals, so there is little or no use of facilities like doctors and health workers and beds. Seemed to be of equal use. He said that these facilities can be used for other medical needs. On Tuesday, 81 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Delhi and the infection rate was 0.82 percent. No patient died of this infection on Tuesday.
